You know, default languages is English. Besides installing Prestashop Defaut 1.7 in English, you want to Add more Languages for your Prestashop 1.7 Store and don’t know how to do in detail. Comes with us. I will show you “How to Add Language Prestashop 1.7”
Fistly, to make it clear. Add New Language in Prestashop means you have to translate store to that language. Add Language Prestashop 1.7 is complete when you translate both frontend, backend, modules, etc.

I. Add New Language Prestashop 1.7:
Admin Dashboard -> International -> Translation:

Navigate to Add/Update a Language -> Search Languages from Languages Dropdown as you want: To check which languages is supported in Prestashop 1.7. Please view more here:

II. Add Languages Prestashop 1.7 for Admin Dashboard
Go to “My Preference”:

Choose “Language Box” -> And “Save” button

III. Add Language Prestashop 1.7 for Modules
Navigate “Admin Dashboard” -> “International” -> “Translation” -> Open “Modify Translation” Part:
Type of Translation: There are:
+ Back-office Translations
+ Themes Translations
+ Install Modules Translation
+ Email Translations
+ Others
If you want to translate all above options, you can modify theme one by one.
1. Back-office Translation Prestashop 1.7:
Type of translation to ” Back-office Translation” & Select “Language” -> “Modify”

2. Themes Translation Prestashop 1.7:
Choose Types of Translation “Themes Translations”
Select your theme: “Opacity” or “Classic”
Select your languages: Choose Language as you want to translate
Then click to “Modify”

Similarly with above steps, you should choose “Install Modules translations” at the “Type of Translation”

4. Email Translation Prestashop 1.7:
Choose Translate Email -> Select your language: -> Click “Modify”
5. Others Translation Prestashop 1.7:
Allows to translate others of theme such as label, messages , etc
