This tutorial includes the following steps:

• Create Submenu Prestashop 1.7 (Simple Submenu & Complex Submenus)

I. Create Main Menu Prestashop 1.7

View at front-end:

Prestashop Dashboard ->  PTS Mega Menu → Mega Menu

1. Add New Group Menu in Prestashop 1.7:

Click “Add” to “Create New New Group Menu” by filling the name into the Create New Group Menu box then click Add. For example, I create a new group menu named “ministore”.

2. Create Menu Item Prestashop 1.7:

In the section Menu Items, click to “Add New” button to create a new menu item.

Fill the title of new menu item then click “Save”.

Repeat this process to create more menu items.

II. Create Menu Builder in Prestashop 1.7:

1. Drag and Drop Mega Menu Prestashop 1.7

Click to “+” button on the menu items to add it to the menu builder

To change the position of the menu items in Menu Builder, drag and drop them to the position you want. To delete a menu item, press Delete.

Click “Save” to save this group menu.

2. Add menu in Page Builder:

Prestashop Dashboard -> PTS Page Builder → Header Builder

Choose your header to edit or you can add a new header by clicking “+” button.

Choose the position of Mega Menu and click “+” button

III. Create Sub-menu Prestashop 1.7

1. Create a Simple Sub-menu Prestashop 1.7

In a Menu Item of the Main Menu, you want to have some Sub-menus or even Sub-menus level 2 like this picture below.

These are steps to implement: Open Main menu -> Click “Add New” Button -> Drag n Drop Submenus to position as you want.
– Open your previous Main Menu ( in my case is “ministore”):

– Repeat the steps when creating the Main Menu.  Click Add New to create more new menu items which will be used as Sub-menus, then click the “+” button to add them to the menu builder.

– Drag and drop Sub-menus under and slightly to the right of the “parent” menu, this will indicate that they are the Sub-menu items of the main menu.

–  Click to Save to apply changes. Go to your page to enjoy the result.

2. Create a complex Sub-menu

With the aforementioned steps, now you can create a simple submenu with a single column. Nevertheless, you need a more complicated Sub-menu, for instance, with 2, 3 or even more columns like this picture below.

To do so, we need to use Menu Builder. Here are steps in details:

2.1 Prestashop Dashboard → PTS Page Builder → Menu builder. Then click to Add New to create a new menu.

Fill in the required name field in the form that appears and click to Add Row

Choose the number of columns, for instance, 4 columns.

Now you can click to “+” button to add the element for each column.

• Ranges: Base on the choice of billing (total price or total weight), you will fill these values which will indicate that some carrier options will not be available while others will only appear at a certain value.

2.3. Set Size, Weight and Group access

Fill some parameters in the empty field to set maximum values for size, weight and group access. These fields are optional.

• Click to Disable if you want to save the carrier as a draft,
• Either way, press Finish to save and create the carrier.

• Behavior: Customer’s address can match more than one of your tax rules. In that case, you can choose how this tax rule should behave:
  • This tax only: only apply this tax
  • Combine: Combine taxes. For example: $100 + (15% + 5% => 20%) => $120.
  • One after another: Apply taxes one after another. For example: $100 + 10% => $110 + 5% => $115.5
• Tax: select the tax to be used for this tax rule from the drop-down list.
